Bringing Joy Sessions aims to bring joy and delight to people living with dementia and older adults. These workshops have been developed to address the isolation that a dementia diagnosis can bring by providing meaningful and engaging activities.

This training session will take place on Zoom on the first Wednesday of July for an hour at 10am. The session will be recorded and made available for everyone to watch again, or if you miss the live session.

We will also offer a networking event where care partners can share ideas and discuss best practices.

This workshop and networking session will be delivered by Joyce Fitzpatrick. Joyce Fitzpatrick has extensive experience in setting up and running activities for older adults and those with cognitive impairment.

She cared for her own mother living with Alzheimer’s for 17 years while raising her children, and gardening in local schools. She understands how activities need to be person centered, meaningful, easy to set up and fun. She has a background in Botany, Horticulture and Nature Therapy, and studied with Dementia Care Matters, David Sherard, and Bradford and Coventry University.
